It is said that on some people’s 18th birthday, the gods bestow upon them a playing card with a unique supernatural power. 52 cards, 52 different abilities. Those who receive one of these cards gain eligibility to attend the most prestigious school for the gifted. Campus Belle: “I have the Queen of Spades — I can summon all kinds of weapons!” Rich Second-Gen: “My dad has the Jack of Diamonds — he can generate unlimited wealth!” Meanwhile, elsewhere, a quiet boy calmly flips his card — and proceeds to use all 52 powers. Everyone is left speechless. “What card do you have?!” He glances at it and shrugs: “Hmm…”
